Fifteen 2x8 rafters at 24" on center carry 5/8" plywood, underlayment and 22 snap-lock standing-seam panels in a copper finish, with a gutter at the back and 9' 10-3/4" of headroom under the front beam.
### Corten Steel Bar Front and Back Bar
- 27' 6-11/16" 2x12 bar top in three pieces at 42", 8" past the corten, seats 10
- Front and right bar walls faced with pre-rusted 16 ga corten steel over plywood, with a black steel corner
- 55-1/16" side ledge on the right
- Two 10 ft back counters with a 36" gap for an ice chest or fridge

### Serving Window and Board and Batten Walls
The full-height left wall has a 36" x 20" window with cedar trim, an outside serving ledge and an aluminum roll-up shutter that locks the window at night. The left and back walls are smooth plywood siding with 1x3 cedar battens at 16" on center.
## Who This DIY Outdoor Bar Plan Is For
This is an advanced plan for experienced builders who can handle staggered beam splices, metal roofing and sheet steel. Three people are needed for the posts, beams and roof. Without a slab, the plan explains how to set the posts on eight concrete piers. Interest in outdoor bars and metal roofs peaks in spring, so the off-season is a good time to plan the build and order materials.

## Frequently Asked Questions
### How do I download the PDF after purchase?
After checkout you get a download link on the order page and by email, so you can download the copper roof outdoor bar plan PDF instantly.
### Can I use a real copper roof on this outdoor bar?
Yes, real copper standing-seam panels install the same way as the copper-tone panels and turn brown, then green, over the years; use copper or stainless fasteners only.
### What are the downsides of corten steel on an outdoor bar?
Corten steel stains concrete while it rusts, so the plan keeps a 1/2" gap at the bottom and you rinse the slab in the first months; it also must never be painted or sealed.
### Can I build this outdoor bar on a pier or dock?
Yes, this outdoor bar can stand on a pier deck built for the load, with the post bases through-bolted into blocking, or on a concrete slab or patio.
### Can I make this outdoor bar shorter?
Yes, leave out one bay and one post to get an 18' 4-1/2" outdoor bar with seven seats, shortening the beams, roof and bar top by 107-1/2".
