## What's Included in This Gothic Arch Barn Pavilion Plan
This 20x30 gothic arch barn pavilion puts one pointed, curved roof over two spaces: an open timber porch at the front and a one-room studio at the back. The roof flares out at the eaves in a bell-cast line, and the exposed arch truss stays visible over the porch. The porch is framed with six 6x6 posts, built-up beams and knee braces.
The plan covers the whole build, from the slab to the trim:
- Floor plan with anchor bolt and post base layout
- Front, back and both side elevations with all key heights
- Gothic arch truss section with a full ordinate table for the curve
- Gable wall framing with stud lengths and top-cut angles for both gables
- Full-size rib templates with station-by-station layout data
- Cutting templates for ties, king and queen posts, knee braces and plywood gussets
- Wall framing drawings for the side walls and the 2x6 end walls
- Shopping list grouped by material, with an estimated material budget
- Master cut list with part IDs, cut diagrams and rib sheet layouts
- 17 illustrated step-by-step pages, from site layout to trim
- Finishing and care notes, plus 7 finished renderings
## How the Gothic Arch Trusses Are Built
Each half of the arch is a 296" radius curve that starts at 65 degrees at the wall and meets the other half at a 30 degree pointed peak. The ribs are two layers of 3/4" plywood laminated with staggered joints, cut from one master template, so all 16 trusses come out identical. A 2x6 tie, a king post and two queen posts complete each truss.
## File Format, Paper Size and Units
The plan is a 47-page PDF sized for US Letter paper. All dimensions are imperial, in inches and feet-inches to 1/16", measured from the top of the slab. The cut list adds a millimeter column, and part IDs match every drawing and step page.
## Who This Gothic Barn Plan Is For
This gothic barn plan suits intermediate to advanced DIY builders, because the curved ribs take careful layout. Plan on 2 to 3 people and about 9 to 11 weekends of work after the slab cures. The plan delivers a weather-tight shell; insulation, interior finishes, electrical and plumbing follow your local code.

## Frequently Asked Questions
### How do you build a gothic arch roof?
In this plan you build a gothic arch roof from laminated plywood ribs traced off a full-size master template, then join each pair of ribs with a 2x6 tie, a king post and queen posts. The step pages walk through cutting, gluing and raising all 16 trusses.
### Can I use solid lumber instead of plywood for the gothic arch ribs?
Yes, you can cut the same gothic arch rib templates from 2x12 boards and join the two layers with the same stagger. The ribs are heavier, but there is no plywood waste.
### How much does it cost to build a 20x30 gothic arch barn pavilion?
The plan estimates materials for this 20x30 gothic arch barn pavilion at about $19,500 to $23,500 at typical US big-box prices. Tax, delivery and regional price changes are not included.
### Can I enclose the porch of this gothic barn later?
Yes, the porch beams of this gothic barn sit at the same height as the wall plates, so you can frame walls between the posts later. Check your permit before you enclose it.
### How do I download the PDF after purchase?
You can download the PDF right after purchase from the link on the order confirmation page or in your confirmation email. No physical item is shipped.
