## What's Included in This Twin Gable Barn Pavilion Plan
This 24x32 twin gable barn pavilion sets two steep cedar gables side by side over one long building: an open timber porch at the front and one large room at the back. The porch is framed with six 6x6 side posts, four 6x6 center posts under an LVL beam and ten knee braces, and the twin king-post trusses stay exposed overhead. A center downspout drains the valley gutter at the front, with a second downspout on the back wall.
The plan covers the whole build, from the slab to the trim:
- Floor plan with anchor bolt, side post and center post layout
- Front, back and both side elevations with all key heights
- Twin-gable truss section with every member length, the center beam and the gutter build-up
- Gable framing with stud lengths for both M-shaped gable walls
- Cutting templates for chords, king posts, webs, knee braces, gutter sleepers and plywood gussets
- Wall framing drawings for the side walls and the 2x6 end walls
- Shopping list grouped by material, with an estimated material budget
- Master cut list with part IDs, cut diagrams and a gusset sheet layout
- 16 illustrated step-by-step pages, from site layout to trim
- Finishing and care notes, plus 7 finished renderings
## How the Double Gable Roof and Valley Gutter Work
Each frame line carries two identical 8/12 king-post trusses that meet on a 3-ply LVL center beam, so the whole roof uses one cut angle of 33.7 degrees. Between the two gables, a 12" box gutter on tapered sleepers is lined with 60-mil EPDM and falls about 1/8" per foot from mid-length to both ends. All 34 trusses are built on site at 24" on center.
## File Format, Paper Size and Units
The plan is a 46-page PDF sized for US Letter paper. All dimensions are imperial, in inches and feet-inches to 1/16", measured from the top of the slab. The cut list adds a millimeter column, and part IDs match every drawing and step page.

## Frequently Asked Questions
### What is an M-shaped roof?
An M-shaped roof is two parallel gable roofs side by side with a gutter in the valley between them. This plan builds that M-shaped roof as two 8/12 gables over a 24' wide barn.
### What is a double gable roof?
A double gable roof has two gables next to each other on the same wall, which reads as twin peaks from the front. In this barn the double gable roof shows two cedar gables on both the porch end and the back wall.
### How does the valley gutter drain on a twin gable barn?
On this twin gable barn the valley box gutter is lined with EPDM and slopes from mid-length to both ends, where it empties into a front and a back downspout. The plan details the sleepers, the gutter floor and the liner step by step.
### How much does it cost to build a 24x32 barn pavilion?
The plan estimates materials for this 24x32 barn pavilion at about $22,500 to $27,500 at typical US big-box prices. Tax, delivery and regional price changes are not included.
