## Insulated Dog House for Medium Dogs: Room and Porch
The sleeping room at the back is lined with untreated 1/4" plywood, so your dog never chews treated wood, and the walls and ceiling are filled with 1-1/2" rigid foam. The floor sits on two 4x4 skids, 7-3/4" above four patio pavers, so it stays dry and the house can be moved later.
### Covered Porch with Cedar Deck
- 23-3/8" deep x 40" wide porch under the main roof
- Cedar deck boards and two 4x4 cedar posts, 33" apart
- 24" clear height and a name board on the porch header
- 1-1/2" threshold that keeps the bedding inside
### Gable Roof, Window and Ventilation
The steep 10/12 gable roof has 1/2" plywood, underlayment and charcoal asphalt shingles. A 14-1/4" x 8" side window with clear acrylic, white trim and a flower box brings in light, while screened eave gaps and a 4" louvered gable vent keep the attic above the insulated ceiling dry.
